Everyone is wondering what will happen to Single Ladies now that Stacey Dash has reportedly left the show. Now this causes a problem because she was the season 1 cliff hanger, I mean she did have 2 proposals. Now if I was the writer I would write Val out of the script altogether. Have her accept Quinn's proposal and they move overseas where he plays ball there. Then can introduce a new character, maybe Val's cousin or something to run the shop. But....that would be too much like right. So check out the ladies I suggest they use to replace Stacey Dash as Val after the jump
Nia Long Best known for Soul Food, Nia Long would fit in perfectly playing Val. But she has been doing movies lately so maybe she is too big for sitcoms and she is pregnant.
Lark Voorhies Best known for playing Lisa Turtle on "Saved By The Bell", also appeared in How To Be A Player. We havent seen Lark doing ANYTHING lately, so she should be available. Unless she still sitting on "Saved By The Bell" money....she should be willing to sign on.
Karyn Parsons Best known as Hilary Banks from "Fresh Prince of Bel Air", Karen played a stuck up rich girl on Fresh Prince....so this should be kinda perfect for her.
Garcelle Beauvais Best known as Fancy from "The Jaime Foxx Show", Garcelle is elegant and sophisticated enough to play the role of Val.She also has been doing NOTHING super relevant since the show wrapped. So she should be available.
Tatyana Ali Best known as Ashley Banks on "Fresh Prince", another good choice but then again she is on "Love That Girl"...but that how sucks...so VH1 should reach out.
Keshia Knight Pulliam Best known as Rudy Huxtable on "The Cosby Show", I think Keshia would be a perfect match to play Val, and her personality should contrast Lisa Raye nicely. But she is partnered with Tyler Perry on "House of Payne". Since she is getting that TP money we can count her out. LoL
Meagan Goode They were numerous rumors that Meagan Goode was contacted but she quickly shut down those rumors. She also stated that she isnt interested in being a permanent character on a sitcom at this time. So if you wanna see her check her out on "The Game"
Jill Marie Jones Best known at the fabulous Toni Childs from "Girlfriends" is probably my number 1 pick to replace Stacey Dash. We know that she can play the role of a sassy fashionista already. Lords knows we have seen her since "Girlfriends" wrapped up!!!
Tracee Ellis Ross Best known as Joan Clayton from "Girlfriends" would be another great choice. She has played the role of a career driven woman who couldnt keep a man already. LoL. But she is on that new BET show. So we can count her out.

I agree with you on Nia Long, Tatyana Ali and even Jill Marie Jones but please no Meagan Good. They should find a new freash face that we haven't seen before like ME for example LOL. But for real Val has to come back at least in the beginning just to finish the cliffhanger that's all because her acting sucks
Well, I think that Stacey Dash is a great actress. She brought that extra sass and class to the show. Most the the aforementioned names would not fit. A few of them verge as coming off as ghetto. Then a few seem give of to strong of a personality. They don't have that uppity sassy yet naieve appeal. There is only one person who would make a fit. That person is Vanessa L. Williams appearing as Val's sister. She can portray one who is sassy, uppity and is articulate. She would not need to be naive because she is Val's older sister who has always been her sister's keeper. So, it's alright for her to be a strong single cougar who is a threat to any woman. Otherwise, this show is headed down the tube.

I think Keshia and Jill are the best choices. If I can have Stacey as Val then I think these are the only ones worthy to fill that character's shoes. All I have to say is, whomever they replace her with better do a damn good job, or they better have a valid write-off plot because they left allot of Val's ends loose. I hope they bring it in the next season. I'm a big Stacey Dash fan so without her the only thing keeping me coming back is Lisa Raye.
Sanaa Lathan is a great suggestion also. At the end of the day no one can compare to Stacey Dash. Her character has to die off in order for the show to move on & still get good ratings. I'll definitely still watch as long a my girl Lisa Raye is on it.
I can see Lark doing it. She has similar features as Stacy Dash when her hair is blown out. But I agree...please NO Megan Goode! Nothing against her, but...um...no.

Chilli Rozonda Thomas, a name not included in the list, would be a great replacement. Of course she played herself in season 1, and could continue to do so by agreeing to purchase the boutique if Stacey's character moves away. In my opinion, Chilli possesses the same qualities as Dash, including the beauty. Otherwise, I agree with the idea of a more mature, intelligent, creative and sexy diva such as Vanessa Williams. However it goes I'm sure the right decision will be made to maintain the shows integrity.
I know this is just a blog and not actual journalism, but you should still check your facts. Jada Pinkett starred in Jason's Lyric. Nia Long wasn'nt in that movie. Garcelle Beauvais is starring in a show called Franklin and Bash that has been on the air for two seasons, prior to her current show she was on NYPD Blue. Apparently she'd been doing a lot since the Jamie Foxx show.
The Jasons Lyric reference was a typo on my part, I am aware that Garcelle Beauvais has been on tv but those arent very popular shows that everyone knows about and watches. That was my point. But thanks for commenting.

I so agree 100% that Jill Marie Jones will definitely be a perfect fit for the new Val....I know she will get it! She has the perfect attitude! The ratings will definitely sky-rocket with her playing as Val......when Toni left girlfriends, the show left the air. Good luck Toni!! Yay!
